Business and investment permanent visa

The visa subclass 888 is a permanent residency visa. If you are a 188 visa holder, you may be eligible to apply for a 888 visa with your family. We can assist you to review your business and investment records, and to ensure that you meet the visa 888 requirements. Our duty is to ensure that your application has the best chance of success. The visa 888 has a few different streams.

Business Innovation Stream 888A

If you are holding a 188 visa in business innovation stream and you have been owning and operating your business in Australia for at least 2 years, you may be eligible to apply for the 888 visa. In addition, for the 12 months immediately before you apply, your business needs to have at least AUD300,000 turnover and you meet at least two of the following three requirements: 1) you have at least AUD200,000 net assets in your main business, 2) you have at least AUD600,000 net personal and business assets, 3) you have employed at least 2 full-time employees.         

Investor Stream 888B

If you are holding a 188 visa in investor stream and you have been holding your designated investment for at least 3 years, you may be eligible to apply for the 888 visa. In addition, you also need to have been living in Australia for at least 2 of the last 3 years before you make the application.

Significant Investor Stream 888C

If you are holding a 188 visa in significant investor innovation stream and you have been holding your designated investment for the whole period of the provisional visa, you may be eligible to apply for the 888 visa. In addition, you also need to meet the specific residency requirements - have been living in Australia for a minimum of 160 days our of the last 4 years or your spouse has been living in Australia for at least 720 days out of the last 4 years.

Entrepreneur Stream 888E

You must have a current nomination from a State or Territory government agency. If you are holding a 188 visa in entrepreneur stream and you can demonstrate that you have been successfully operating your business in Australia, you may be eligible to apply for the 888 visa. In addition, you also need to meet the residency requirements - have been living in Australia for at least 2 years and you have been holding your 188 visa for 3 years before you make the application.
